“Bodyguard” — a reconstitute of a Tamil film by a same name — stars a gaseous Salman Khan as bodyguard Lovely Singh, and Kareena Kapoor as a intense Divya. With Khan’s prior Eid releases carrying been outrageous hits, a expectations for this one were flattering big.
Unfortunately, a film itself doesn’t live adult to a hype. While a story is decent, many components of a film come opposite as purposeless and unnecessary. The pacing and upsurge of a scenes are also weak, and a film could have focused on tangible branch points a bit some-more than buildups. Even some-more purposeless were a villains – or miss thereof. It seems a bad guys were usually combined into a brew as an forgive to have Khan kick a pap out of them.
Our biggest bewail is not being means to see some-more chemistry and adore freshness between a lead actors. Though they are both really appealing actors, for some reason their chemistry fizzles onscreen (also see: “Main Aur Mrs. Khanna”). The best warn was Karisma Kapoor’s voice over as Kareena’s phone alter-ego (which creates us consider maybe this film would’ve been improved if it had recreated Salman and Karisma’s yesteryear charm).
The few saving factors: Kareena has never looked improved and has polished a art of subtlety, never overdoing a gloomy scenes. Her opening montage was simply pleasing and brought us behind to her initial stage in “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”; a cinematography was glorious and a movement scenes (CGI or not) were sleekly choreographed and utterly fun to watch; and a soundtrack has been a large strike — even yet a songs themselves seemed out of context in a film and only seemed like feeble placed, despite gorgeous, song videos.
The film has been described as “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” meets “Dabangg”, though eventually it conjunction has a sorcery of a former nor a pizzazz of a latter. Faithful Khan fans will still group to a theatres and mangle all prior annals to see it, and it positively rests on his large shoulders. Essentially if we suffer films where Khan’s shirts supernaturally find ways to fly off his body, this one’s for you. Otherwise, save your income and your time.
